An Evening, at Park Place Prime.

A steakhouse that truly excels in every aspect—from the crafted cocktails to the main course and the indulgent desserts—is something truly remarkable, and Park Place Prime at Ballys Atlantic City definitely hits the mark on all fronts.
First Impressions & Cocktails
We kicked things off with cocktails – the Italian Bourbon and The Smokehouse, and let me tell you—the presentation was absolutely gorgeous. The Smokehouse is a smoked old fashioned and one of five signature old fashioneds on the menu. It is presented inside a smoke-filled glass box, concealing the cocktail completely. Once our server opened the box door, the smoke billowed out, and the beautiful cocktail was revealed. The smoky aroma lingers on the nose for the whole cocktail experience, which is the point.
The Italian Bourbon featuring Buffalo Trace whiskey, amaro dell’Etna, and Italian cherry liqueur mixed with Carpano Antica vermouth and a dash of bitters was beautifully balanced and quite elegant.
If you enjoy a crafted cocktail with a hint of sophistication and style, this is the spot to treat yourself.
The Food: Meatballs, Lamb Chops and Steak, Oh My
We started with their signature Korean Wagyu Meatballs, and I was immediately impressed. They were incredibly tender, with a subtle kick of spice that made each bite better than the last. I was worried they’d be too filling, knowing that we had steak and lamb chops coming, but honestly, they’re so light and flavorful that they’re the perfect starter to get you excited for what’s next.
Before diving into our entrees, I started with the Prime Wedge salad. This one had a fun twist: pickled red onion and a deviled egg, which added a little extra tang and richness to the usual crisp and creamy combination.
For the main course, my dining partner ordered the Lamb Chops with rosemary jus lié, garlic mashed potatoes, and sautéed spinach. The chops were cooked to perfection – the outside was lightly charred, and the inside was still pink and incredibly tender. Our waiter told us we should try them with Mint Jelly, which was a nice little throwback, but the real star was the rosemary jus lié. You could drink that sauce with a spoon – it was that good.
I personally couldn’t pass up the Prime Dry Aged New York Strip, cooked to a perfect medium rare with that rich, deep flavor only dry aging can bring out. It was beautifully seared, tender, and exactly what I’d been dreaming about all day.
The Atmosphere
Park Place Prime is stylish but doesn’t try too hard. The Leather Bank section, with its blue leather chairs and banquettes, adds a modern yet classic touch, and the custom-made crystal light fixtures and stunning lighting over the bar give the space a little bit of that mid-century glam. It feels upscale without being stuffy—definitely the kind of place where you can settle in, take your time, and enjoy every bite.
Given that it’s located inside a casino, the dress code is pretty casual. Whether you’re coming straight from the casino floor or celebrating something big, you’ll feel comfortable here.
Bally’s Atlantic City has undergone extensive renovations, bringing a fresh and modern feel to the entire property. With newly renovated rooms, upgraded dining experiences, and an enhanced casino floor, the improvements make the hotel and resort an even more exciting destination.
Saving Room for Dessert
I always say a great meal should have a memorable ending, and the strawberry cheesecake was calling my name. I’m a sucker for cheesecake. Pair that with an espresso martini, and you’ve got the kind of finish that makes you linger just a little longer at the table. The toasted marshmallow garnish in our martinis was a fun touch.
Service That Stands Out
I can’t talk about this experience without mentioning the service. From our own server to the others, I overheard chatting with their guests, I could tell that the team at Park Place Prime is very well-trained. They know how to make you feel welcome without being intrusive, which is exactly what you want in a fine dining spot.
Final Thoughts
Park Place Prime delivers on every front—stunning cocktails, perfectly executed dishes, a beautiful atmosphere, and top-notch hospitality. Whether you’re in Atlantic City for a weekend getaway or just looking for a standout dining experience, this place is absolutely worth a visit.
