Make a Day—or Weekend—of It

One of the best things about these itineraries is their flexibility. Each route is self-guided, so visitors can choose how many wineries to visit, where to stop for lunch or dinner, and whether to make the trip an overnight adventure.

Access Wine Country developed the guides to make it easier for visitors to experience more than just the tasting room.

“New Jersey Wine Month encourages people to explore local wineries, but many visitors still like help deciding where to go and what else to do while they are there,” said Christopher Principato, editor of Access Wine Country. “Our goal is to connect wineries with nearby restaurants, attractions, and accommodations so visitors can enjoy a complete wine country experience and discover everything New Jersey has to offer.”

Each itinerary includes maps and practical planning information. Visitors should check each winery’s hours, reservation policies, and event schedule before heading out. And, of course, plan for a designated driver or arrange transportation if visiting multiple tasting rooms.
