Valentine’s Cooking Class with Chef Brian Walter
87 Sussex Restaurant in Jersey City is kicking off its Valentine’s Week celebration with an intimate, interactive cooking experience featuring honorary James Beard Foundation Member Chef Brian Walter.
Whether you’re single or coupled up, join us for a Valentine’s cooking class at 87 Sussex. Chef Brian will prepare a multi-course menu right before your eyes. Sip, watch, and indulge as each course is cooked, explained, and served—no cooking experience required. Enjoy a delectable menu, wine, and great company during the Valentine’s cooking class on Wednesday, February 11th, at 7 p.m.
In addition, 87 Sussex Restaurant has a special Valentine’s celebration planned starting on Friday, February 13th, and continuing throughout Valentine’s Day weekend. Enjoy the regular menu along with enticing specials. For a romantic experience for two, try the showstopper special: Chateaubriand for two, which includes Prime Center Cut Tenderloin, Garlic & Herbs, Seasonal Vegetables, and Roasted Potatoes. Also, don’t miss Chef Brian’s new menu item, the Rose Petal Ravioli—Hibiscus Pasta stuffed with Ricotta, Chestnuts, Spinach, Tuscan Kale Pesto, and Baby Vegetables.

Located at 87 Sussex Street in Jersey City open from Tuesday through Friday open for Dinner starting at 5 pm – 10, Saturday + Sundays – Brunch begins at 11am – 3pm with Dinner Service starting from 5 pm with late-night service on weekends.
Chef Brian Walter, an honorary James Beard Foundation Member and now the Executive Chef at 87 Sussex in Jersey City, began his culinary journey at New York’s French Culinary Institute. Since then, he has spent over 20 years of his culinary career perfecting his craft through working at acclaimed restaurants and private clubs, including the French Consulate, Le Cirque 2000, Lespinasse, Guastavino’s, Acqua Ristorante, Char Steakhouse, the prestigious Hamilton Farm Golf Club, and Carmine’s in Times Square and named “Top 5 Chefs in NJ” by NJ Life Magazine and “NJ’s Best Burger” by NJ Monthly Magazine. His achievements have been recognized consistently by both local and national media, earning him spots as a guest chef in Good Morning America, NBC, FOX5 Good Day NY and more.
