Morris County Harvest Table: Oktoberfest
Join us for the inaugural Morris County Harvest Table: Oktoberfest, a special farm-to-table celebration showcasing the people, farms and flavors that make Morris County’s agricultural community so unique.
The event will take place on October 1 at 4:30 PM at the new Center for Entrepreneurship and Culinary Science at County College of Morris. This bright, sun-drenched facility expands CCM’s culinary program and features an inviting courtyard spanning nearly 5,000 square feet. Guests will experience the Center’s indoor culinary spaces and outdoor courtyard throughout the evening.
County College of Morris culinary students will prepare an Oktoberfest-inspired menu featuring ingredients sourced from farms throughout Morris County. By bringing together local farmers, students, culinary educators, residents and visitors, the Harvest Table will demonstrate how agriculture, education, hospitality and tourism work together to strengthen our community and local economy.
Guests will enjoy a memorable seasonal dining experience while learning more about the farms behind the food. Participating farms will share their stories, highlight their products and encourage guests to visit their markets, farm stands, orchards and seasonal attractions.
The Morris County Harvest Table is designed to:
• Support Morris County farms and local agriculture
• Showcase locally grown ingredients and seasonal products
• Encourage residents and visitors to explore the county’s farms
• Provide CCM culinary students with a valuable hands-on learning experience
• Strengthen connections among farmers, educators, hospitality partners and the community
• Celebrate agritourism as an important part of the Morris County visitor experience
This event also serves as a fundraiser for the Morris County Tourism Bureau. Proceeds will support the Bureau’s mission to promote Morris County as a destination and connect residents and visitors with the county’s historic, cultural, agricultural, recreational and culinary experiences.
Come gather around the table, meet the people behind our local food and celebrate the fall harvest with an evening inspired by the warmth, flavors and traditions of Oktoberfest.
