Taste of South Orange Food Stroll & Pub Crawl

Food lovers are spoiled for choice in South Orange’s downtown district, and for one night only, the numerous options can be savored for one small price. Hosted by the South Orange Village Center Alliance (SOVCA), the Taste of South Orange Food Stroll & Pub Crawl is back on Sunday, April 28, 4-7 p.m., with more than one dozen participating eateries and taverns. Wristbands are currently available for advance purchase online and at Kitchen a la Mode, Sparkhouse Toys, and (starting April 13) at General Store’s Pop-up Kid Shop on Springfield Avenue in Maplewood. Hundreds will gather downtown to listen to live music while sampling delectable bites and beverages inside of each participating establishment. Downtown merchants Café Word Bookstore, Kitchen a la Mode and Sadie’s will be offering great discounts and promotions.
As part of the event’s give back mission, 20% of all ticket sales will be donated to Meeting Essential Needs with Dignity (MEND) and MEND’s green bean bus will be parked by Spiotta Park to accept shelf-stable food donations.
