Punkin’ Chunkin’ Competition

The Shannon Rose Irish Pub will raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with its third annual Punkin’ Chunkin’ competition at 6 p.m., at both its Clifton and Ramsey restaurants. Participants are challenged to launch their pumpkin as far as possible within a designated area known as the Chunkin Patch for a chance to win great prizes while raising funds for a worthy cause. Pumpkins can be reserved in advance (while supplies last) or purchased onsite for a cost of $10, with proceeds benefiting St. Jude’s. For younger guests, pumpkins can also be purchased for use at the pumpkin painting station. Also, through November 2, each restaurant will feature a pumpkin-themed menu, with $1 from every item sold donated directly to St. Jude’s. Featured items include spiced pumpkin soup, pumpkin and mascarpone ravioli, spiced pumpkin latte, and pumpkin pie martini.
