Organic Gardening Course at Frelinghuysen Arboretum

Whether you are an organic gardening newbie or an experienced gardener, NOFA-NJ’s Organic Gardening Course for Food Production will provide you with time-tested information as well as opportunities to discuss specific questions about your garden. Learn how to improve your soil and how to plan, prepare, and plant your garden. You will also discover how to manage weeds, diseases, and pests using tested methods for common crops and critters Al Johnson, NOFA-NJ board member, instructs the course and has farmed or gardened organically for over 40 years. Topics for discussion will include site assessment and water planning, pest control, soil fertility, small fruit primer, extending the garden into the fall, and more!
