Hunterdon Art Museum Pop-Up Dinner

December 8, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$125 – $150

Enjoy an evening of elegance that celebrates the holiday season and the Museum’s Lace, not Lace: Contemporary Fiber Art from Lacemaking Techniques exhibition on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. (Pre-dinner event at 6.)

This pop-up dinner, titled Sequins, Sparkles and Lace, benefits the Hunterdon Art Museum’s education programs and exhibitions of contemporary art, craft, and design.

Chef Mia Emerson of 15 Landsdowne Catering has created a six-course dinner that includes a shellfish broth of Manila clams, Prince Edward Island mussels and wild hopper pink shrimp; a pumpkin ‘cappuccino’ frothed nutmeg cream; and a Spanish Mahon spiced carrot salad with golden raisin puree. Entrée choices are Napoleon of beef, black sea bass or a creamy polenta with wild mushrooms, rosemary and garlic cream.

The evening ends with an apple fritter dessert accompanied by OwowCow caramel apple ice cream with maple whipped cream and candied pecans.

Dinner guests also have the option of attending an exclusive pre-dinner reception, tour and conversation of the Lace, not Lace exhibition with curator Devon Thein. The reception, which begins at 6 p.m., includes champagne, hors d’oeuvres, and a special look at the show.
