Bastille Day Bash in Long Branch

French artisan wines in the spotlight at Court Liquors! To celebrate Bastille Day, a landmark in the French Revolution, Court Liquors will offer a complimentary sampling of French wines from premier importers Kermit Lynch, Neal Rosenthal and Louis Dressner on Friday, July 14 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the store at 146 West End Court in Long Branch. Led by Court’s Vice President Nick Pizzonia, a finalist for Wine Professional in the 2017 Garden State Culinary Arts Awards, and veteran wine and food journalist Andrea “Andy” Clurfeld, the tasting of small-production artisan organic wines will be accompanied by small bites of food.

Court’s collection of fine artisan wines, beers, and spirits has been curated by Pizzonia during the course of his 20-year career at the mecca located near the Atlantic Ocean in the enclave of West End. Clurfeld, who wrote the “Match Point” wine-and-food pairing column for the Gannett Corporation newspapers, currently is the restaurant editor and critic for New Jersey Monthly‘s “Table Hopping.” The French wine sampling is free of charge and open to all age 21 and older with valid I.D.
