December 21: Paragon Tap & Table hosts a five-course pasta tasting with Chef Eric Levine. Guests will receive a signed copy of Chef Levine’s cookbook, Small Bites Big Flavor: Simple, Savory, and Sophisticated Recipes for Entertaining. The Summit DinerTuesdays through Sundays, through December 31: Explore the 100-year history of one of New Jersey’s most iconic traditions at the Morris Museum’s newest exhibit, “Icons of American Culture: The History of New Jersey Diners.” Curated by Jody Marcus, the exhibit retells the story of how the classic, neon-lit, stainless steel diners of the past century captured the hearts of hungry diners everywhere through carefully curated factoid panels, photographs, paintings, and historical artifacts. Much of the information in the exhibit comes from the 2013 book The History of Diners in New Jersey, written by author and Jersey Bites contributor Michael C. Gabriele. The museum is closed on Mondays and is open on Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. For more information about hours and admission, click here. January 1: The Tuckerton Seaport invites guests to enjoy Food Trucks and Fire Pits: Fire & Ice on New Year’s Day. Enjoy live entertainment, several food trucks, brews from Pinelands Brewing Company, fireworks and more. 120 Main Street, Tuckerton. 

January 7: Attention Downton Abbey fans! Liberty Hall Museum will host a 1920s-style luncheon inspired by the hit PBS show. From 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. guests can enjoy the luncheon buffet, with choice of red or white wine. A tour of the museum follows the luncheon. $60 per person. March 23: Advance-sale tickets are available now through December 31 for  South Jersey’s premier food and beverage event, the 34th Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala. Individual tickets are available for $200 each. The 34th annual Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala takes place in the Avalon Ballroom of Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center. The event showcases thousands of hors d’oeuvres prepared by students from the Academy of Culinary Arts.
