December 4: Participating businesses open their doors in Downtown Bordentown for a Holiday Chocolate Walk full of fun treats and chocolates galore. Various restaurants, bars, and other food shops are opening their doors to passport holders for a chance to showcase their treats, whether it’s just a piece of delicious chocolate, a baked dessert, or chocolate-tini! December 5 and 6: Terhune Orchards is kicking off the holiday season with an afternoon full of wagon rides, visit with Santa and wine tastings. The wine tasting room will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. featuring Terhune Orchards award winning wines. Gift baskets will also be available featuring fruit, baked goods and wine. December 6: The Hoppy Holiday Beer Bazaar comes in for a landing at the Flying Fish Brewery in Somerdale. Kick off the holiday season with some of the best hops in New Jersey. Co-sponsored by Beer for Babes, Geeky Beer Gal and Flying Fish, event admissions costs $35 and proceeds will be donated to The Pinelands Preservation Alliance. 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Flying Fish Brewery, 900 Kennedy Boulevard, Somerdale.
December 6: The Four Sisters Winery hosts Barefoot Grape Stomping. The event features formal wine tours and tasting, Italian dinner, and dessert followed by the main event, “stomping of the grapes.” Tickets cost $32.95. Four Sisters Winery, 783 N. Bridgeville Road, Belvidere.
December 12 and 13: The Sip and Shop Food Drive is taking place at the Willow Creek Winery. This free event allows attendees to sip and sample local wines and sangrias while also shopping from 30 different local Cape May County small business owners, artists, jewelers, designers, photographers, authors, bakers, and gift crafters. December 13 and February 7: The Indoor Winter Farmers’ Market benefits Slow Food Northern NJ. The festival features sustainably raised foods from local farms and food artisans. December 17: Beer for Babes 2nd Annual Holiday Cookie Beer Pairing Night takes place at the Garden State Ale House.
