May 9: The Big Brew Sussex Beer Festival arrives at the Sussex County Fairgrounds with over 200 beers. Food trucks including The Cow & The Curd, Empanada Guy, The Outslider, Pizza Vita, Waffle De Lys, and Oink & The Moo BBQ will be at the ready. Special guest Sick Star Nation will perform and, if that’s not enough, guests can ride a mechanical bull! May 9Lettie Teague book signing at Gary’s Wine & Marketplace from 12 to 2 p.m. Wine columnist at The Wall Street Journal and winner of three James Beard Awards, Lettie Teague will be in Gary’s Wine & Marketplace in Wayne store on May 9 to discuss and sign copies of her new book Wine in Words: Some Notes for Better Drinking. May 9 and 10: The Mother’s Day Wine Trail Weekend tradition continues at winery tasting rooms across the state. From Sussex to Cape May Counties, travelers along the trail can look forward to special wine tastings, live music, food pairings, and plenty of fragrant fresh flowers (both cut and grapevine) heralding the season.

May 16 and 17: Noon to 5 p.m. Wine on down the river at the first ever Riverview Beach Park Wine Festival! June 23: Come out to Spring Lake Heights to see the 2015 TASTE Award Winners announced during a four-course wine paired dinner with live music from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The TASTE awards honor culinary excellence at the Jersey Shore in 13 categories. August 15 and 16: The Shore Chef Crab Cake Cook-Off features crab cakes and seafood from top Garden State restaurants with chefs battling for Best Crab Cake and Best of the Rest.
