February 21: Join Executive Chef Jesse Jones for a three-course tasting demonstration during Bloomingdale’s celebration of Black History Month at the Mall at Short Hills. February 21: The Big Brew Beer Festival returns! Held at the Morristown Armory, the event is the perfect opportunity to meet other beer aficionados with a slew of tastings to warm the socializing. Early bird prices are currently in effect: general admission is $60, while VIP admission is $85 VIP admission includes an additional hour of tasting and 20+ more brews. February 23: Come out and support your New Jersey Firefighters at the Cooked and Uncorked Food and Wine Festival, to benefit the New Jersey State Firefighter’s Mutual Benevolent Association and The Burn Center at Saint Barnabas Medical Center. The event will take place at The Pines Manor in Edison, from 6 to 9 p.m. and will include wine tasting and foods from more than 40 of New Jersey’s best restaurants, as well as the Ultimate Fire Department Cook-Off. February 28: Jazz House Kids, based in Montclair, hosts its seventh annual fundraising event, Body & Soul. The event, hosted by Jason and Deborah DeSalvo and the Jazz House Kids Board of Directors, will take place at the Van Vleck House & Gardens, with all proceeds benefitting Jazz House Kids.  March 1 to 7: Hedge your bets on Atlantic City during Atlantic City Restaurant Week, running from March 1 to 7. Eighty participating restaurants will offer three-course lunches for $15.15 per person three-course dinners for $33.15 per person. For further information, visit acrestaurantweek.com.

March 9: Kicking off Montclair Restaurant Week (March 9 to 15), Taste of Montclair will welcome 30+ area restaurants and food crafters, giving food lovers from near and far the opportunity to get a true taste of the community’s vibrant food scene. The tasting takes place at the Conference Center at Montclair State University from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. All of the tasting’s proceeds will go to charities supported by the Rotary Club of Montclair (including Toni’s Kitchen, the Human Needs Food Pantry, and the feeding programs of the Salvation Army). Tickets can be purchased hereThe Conference Center, Montclair State University. 

March 10: The Taste of the Gala cooking demonstration and tasting takes place at Careme’s Restaurant, at the Academy of Culinary Arts. The event features hors d’oeuvres prepared by ACA students. March 20 and 21: The Atlantic City Beer & Music Festival will run March 20 and 21, and will feature over 1,000 beers, from 150 different breweries! The festival will be at AC Convention Center. March 20-22: Tickets are on sale for the 7th annual New Jersey Wine & Food Festival taking place at the Crystal Springs Resort. This year, the Guest of Honor is David Kinch of Michelin two star Manresa in Los Gatos, California. Proceeds benefit the James Beard Foundation. See full events agenda here. March 25: Join Chef Bryan Gregg and Chef Todd Villani at Escape Montclair, a five course dinner to benefit the Carol G. Simon Caner Center. March 26: Atlantic Cape Community College presents its 32nd annual Restaurant Gala at Bally’s in Atlantic City. The event includes 40 local restaurants preparing signature recipes. Tickets are $225, and proceeds go toward ACCC educational endeavors and scholarships. April 25 and 26: Save the date for the Inaugural Waretown Spring Wine Festival in Waretown, not far from Long Beach Island. On both days, the event will run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Waretown Recreation and Lake Area. The two-day event will feature samplings from a variety of award-winning wineries from throughout the Garden State, accompanied by live entertainment, as well as crafters, retail vendors, food vendors, and a children’s play area. Enjoy the event for $12 in advance (click here to order tickets), or $15 at the gate for those over 21. A two-day ticket will also be available for $25. Designated drivers are admitted for free.
