November 21: Enjoy the bright lights of the season while supporting a good cause at the Festival of Trees dinner. The event combines a fine dining experience with auction items and dancing. Proceeds go to the Junior League of Bergen County, which supports community projects and college scholarships. Tickets are $125 per person. November 22: Singer-songwriter David Roth returns to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey’s Coffee With a Conscience Concert Series, an eight-show program that aims to fundraise while connecting artists with the local community. General admission is $25, with a $5 advance purchase discount. First United Methodist Church, 1 East Broad Street, Westfield, 908-233-4211.

November 23: Huntington Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 heats up their fundraising with a breakfast, held from 7 to 11 a.m. The breakfast features a wide selection of all-you-can-eat foods, including pancakes, bacon, and waffles. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children 4 to 10 (children under 3 are free!) and proceeds go to the fire company. Huntington Fire Company No. 1, 1 Maple Avenue, Phillipsburg, 908-454-9121.

ZINBURGER Pumpkin Shake ImageAll Month: Pick up Zinburger Bar and Grill‘s Pumpkin ‘Stache Shake for No-Shave November, a cause that asks men to grow out their hair to raise awareness for men’s health issues. Each shake will benefit ZERO, a nonprofit organization working to end prostate cancer. Zinburger has locations in Cherry Hill, Clifton, and Paramus.

Every Sunday: iPlay America’s GameTime Bar & Grill hosts a wing-eating contest open to anyone who’s up to the challenge during halftime of both the 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. games. Contestants must eat as many wings as possible in two minutes. November 28 to 30: Unionville Vineyards invites participants on its Holiday Wine Trail to collect ornaments for a grapevine wreath. More than 20 wineries are participating in this event, and many offer complimentary samples and wine tastings. On Sunday, the Chernoff duo will bring live music to the event. November 29: The Thanksgiving Hay Rides and Greens sale combines your love for holiday-themed events with a chance to give back to the community. Not only can you buy wreaths, bells, and local flour and honey, the event is free with your non-perishable food donation. Hay rides and sleigh rides are another great option for the kids, so check it out! Howell Farm, 70 Wooden’s Lane, Lambertville, 609-737-3299.

December 5 to 7: Enjoy holiday wine with your holiday shopping at Tuckerton Seaport’s Christkindlmarkt. The festival features horse drawn cart rides, crafts, live music and holiday desserts accompanied by drinks from local wineries. Admission is $3. Tuckerton Seaport, 120 Main Street, Tuckerton, 609-296-8868.

December 6, 13, 20: Munch your way through the Asbury Park Winter Bazaar, featuring craft vendors, artisanal food products, and a seasonal food and drink menu from the Anchors Bend. Live music and photos with Santa are great for the kids, while parents can give back at the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties‘ donation drop-off. Admission is free. December 11: Escape Montclair‘s Chef Bryan Gregg holds a charity dining experience with the help of Chef Ian Kapitan. The five-course dinner will allow diners to bring their own wines to pair up with the courses. The cost of the dinner will be $68 per person, with 50% of the proceeds being donated to the Carol G. Simon Cancer Center of NJ. Escape Montclair, 345 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair, 973-744-0712.
