November 7: The Third Annual Long Branch Chef’s Challenge 6:00 p.m. at Ocean Place Resort and Spa. $75 per person. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Kay Guadagno Memorial Fund at Monmouth Medical Center. Competing chefs will be judged by a professional panel and all attendees will have an opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice! November 8: Kings Food Market Holiday Tasting Event. Shoppers who attend the event will be welcomed to taste their way through the store as Kings offers three consecutive days of signature samplings, exclusive cooking demonstrations and a special gift from Morristown’s own ENJOU Chocolate for the first 250 attendees. November 8 – 17: Jersey Shore Restaurant Week. Explore a new spot or go back to an old favorite! With everything from a martini contest to a bacon-centered event, Jersey Shore Restaurant Week will be full of fun and surprises. November 9: High Street Grill celebrates the arrival of Speakeasy in the Garden State. To celebrate Speakeasy Ales & Lagers’ arrival in NJ, High Street Grill will turn into a 1920s style speakeasy at 7 p.m. on November 9. November 9: Chinese Tea Ceremony. The art of drinking and serving tea is a major part of life in China. This ceremony emphasizes the tea: what it tastes and smells like and how one tea tastes compared to the previous tea, or in successive rounds of drinking. Additional refreshments will be served during this program. Ceremony will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Camden County Library at Rutgers, 301 North 5th Street, Camden. November 14: A Taste of Hunterdon: A Foodie Fundraiser. Visit the Grand Colonial Restaurant in Hampton to celebrate the work of Family Promise of Hunterdon County and raise money for the only homeless shelter for families in Hunterdon County. marquee2November 22: Viva South Jersey. This gala, an evening of chance, music and food, is raising money for the Food Bank of South Jersey’s “no kid hungry in South Jersey” program. This program provides food and nutrition services to needy children in elementary and middle school. It will benefit their “no senior hungry in South Jersey,” so that seniors no longer have to make the difficult choice of whether to pay for medicine or to pay for food. This gala takes place from 6 to 11 p.m. at 1501 John Tipton Blvd. in Pennsauken. Tickets are $150 for individuals and $250 for couples. Click here to purchase tickets.
