Pittstown: “America’s Grow a Row” needs Volunteer Corn Pickers July 29th

Last night – America’s Grow a Row set a record! With the help of over 60 hard-working volunteers and beautiful weather, they gleaned 15,000 pounds of sweet corn that would have otherwise been plowed under but is now being donated to feed our neighbors in need. It was a truly awesome night.

But they still need your help. – one more picking session is scheduled this week. They will be out at Peace Valley Orchards in Pittstown at 6:30am (yep folks, that’s “am” as “in the morning”) on Thursday, July 29th for about 2 hours or so

Please respond to Colleen@americasgrowarow.org if you can help. Even if you only think you might make it, it would be a good idea to RSVP so that they can update the volunteers with any weather-related changes. If you need to contact the farm that day, please call Chip at 908-331-2962.
